Partisan politics can be the reason why single women do not marry

Never in a million years have I ever came across such nonsense, the idea that single women are choosing to remain unmarried because most available single men are conservatives. Whatever happened to dating first before deciding how compatible you are with a person? Partisan politics has nothing to do with how a woman chooses a mate or lifetime companion.

Ideally a lifetime is the supposed duration of a marriage. However, marriage today does not mean "until death do us apart", it is "until I get sick of you and can no longer stomach the idea of you". Men and women get involved in relationships for many of reasons but sometimes they do not think about the growth factor. Sometimes you just outgrow each other. What you may have believed in when you were in your 20s, will not be the ideology when you are in your 30s, (thank God).

It is not like I am an authority on the subject of marriage but I can say I am one on dating relationships, I have had several. I know what does works and what does not. I have never been married but someday I hope to be, I would not want to think that my sometimes liberal leanings has anything to do with the reasons why I am still unmarried.

So a little advice to all you single Jewish and non Jewish women who would like to get married. Forget the major cosmetic surgery, new hairstyle, Manolo Blahnik shoes, Club Med jaunts and new wardrobe.

Initially, for most men it is the Manolo Blahnik's, cosmetic surgery and the body that lives in the gym that catches the eye of a man and will form that lasting impression. I have yet to hear many men say, "I am with her because of her fantastic mind".
