As a child I remember one of my aunts fanning herself with a church fan in the winter time. It seems no matter how fast or slow she waved that fan she could not get cool. I asked her did she want me to ask my father to cut the air conditioner up, her reply was "its the change, the change of life one day you will understand" and she continued on with her fanning. I knew that I did not want to ever know about the change of life.
Today, the change of life or menopause, is not a secret to be spoken in the dark nor is it treated the death of a woman. Women are now approaching menopause with bravery and dignity as well as openness.
